Saturday Basketball School was Implemented in 2002 by LADYS, Inc., Saturday Basketball School (SBS) is a basketball skills training series that focuses on developing and enhancing the fundamental skills of young girls’ ages 8-14. Each session of SBS is conducted at a local facility to target the young girls in that community.
Mission
Saturday Basketball School(SBS) mission is to develop the total athlete. The training sessions will always target three areas:
- Strength and Conditioning
- Increase Basketball IQ
- Skill Development.
Conducting theses clinics in the community gives SBS an opportunity to:
• Teach the basic fundamentals,
• Introduce, develop and maintain physical fitness,
• Identify which girls are interested in basketball and enhance their skill level,
• Introduce the sport of basketball to those who never had an opportunity to play,
• Produce future athletes to compete scholastically.
